Zonta International and Zonta clubs in Latvia express their opinions and engage in issues aimed at:
- to advance the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women;
- to promote understanding, goodwill and peace by uniting Zonta International members throughout the world; and
- to promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.
These objectives correspond to:
- Articles 1-16 of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women;
- the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence;
- the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action;
- the UN Sustainable Development Goals
